UTM Builder

Add utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign to a link, with warnings for values that would split your reports. Nothing is uploaded.

Build UTM campaign links for Google Analytics 4: existing query parameters and the #fragment are kept, values are encoded correctly, and capitals, spaces and odd characters are flagged with a one-click Fix. Use bulk mode to make one link per channel and download them as CSV.

Parameters: the five utm_ fields Google Analytics reads, plus utm_id (GA4 campaign ID). Values are encoded with URLSearchParams rules.

GA4 is case-sensitive: utm_source=Email and utm_source=email are reported as two different sources. Copy uses the values exactly as typed, so press Fix on any warning first and use the same spelling every time.

How to use the UTM Builder

              1. Paste the landing-page link. If it has no https://, press Add https://.
              2. Fill in utm_source and utm_campaign, plus utm_medium and any optional fields. Pick a suggestion or type your own.
              3. Read the warnings under each field and press Fix on the ones you agree with, then press Copy link.
              4. For several channels, tick Bulk mode, add a row per channel, then press Copy all or Download CSV.

              Frequently asked questions

How do I add UTM parameters to a link?

Paste the landing-page link, fill in utm_source and utm_campaign (and utm_medium, which you almost always want), then press Copy. The tagged link updates as you type.

Are UTM parameters case-sensitive in GA4?

Yes. GA4 is case-sensitive, so utm_source=Email and utm_source=email are reported as two different sources. The builder warns about capitals and offers a one-click Fix, but never changes a value unless you click it.

What happens to query parameters already on my link?

They are kept exactly as they are, and so is the #fragment. If the link already has a utm_ parameter you also fill in, the new value replaces the old one and the page lists which parameters were replaced.

Can I make links for several channels at once?

Yes. Tick Bulk mode, keep one link and campaign, and add a row per channel with its source, medium and content. You get one link per line, Copy all and a CSV download.

Is anything I type sent anywhere?

No. Links are built entirely in your browser and are never uploaded, saved or added to this page's address. Only your separator and mode choices are remembered.
